Every yard looks rough after winter. Leaves packed down over the grass, debris scattered across open areas, and outdoor spaces that nobody wants to spend time in. That's exactly what we were working with here - a lawn buried under a heavy layer of matted leaves with open areas that needed to be cleared out and cleaned up before the growing season gets going.

Spring cleanup is one of those jobs that sounds simple but makes a massive difference. Leaving that layer of dead leaves sitting on your lawn smothers the grass underneath and blocks the sunlight and airflow it needs to green up. Getting it cleared out early is one of the best things you can do for your lawn's health going into the season.

What we ended up with is a clean, open yard with mow lines laid in and the outdoor areas ready to actually use. There's a real difference between a lawn that's been through a proper spring cleanup and one that hasn't - and it goes beyond just looks. Your grass gets a better start, your outdoor spaces feel usable again, and you're not playing catch-up for the rest of the season.

This kind of work is part of what our garden maintenance crews focus on all spring. Whether it's leaf removal, first mows of the year, or clearing out the areas that took the worst of winter, we stay on top of it so you don't have to. A yard this size takes time to do right, and cutting corners - like skipping the cleanup and just mowing over packed leaves - causes problems down the road.

Spring fills up fast. Once the ground thaws and the calls start coming in, scheduling gets tight. Getting your cleanup on the calendar early means your yard is ready to go when the weather is, not weeks behind it.
