A sinkhole in your backyard isn't just an eyesore - it's a problem that gets worse over time. Water keeps pooling, the ground keeps settling, and before long you've got a section of yard that's completely unusable. That's exactly what we were dealing with here.

What made this one interesting is that we didn't need to bring in a single load of fill. We regraded the entire backyard using soil that was already on the property - just redistributed and shaped correctly. That's the kind of thing that comes from knowing how to read a yard and move material efficiently. No extra material costs, no hauling fees.

The end result was 10 to 15 feet of additional flat, usable lawn space where there used to be a low spot that collected water and went to waste. You can see the graded surface seeded and ready to establish - a clean, level area that connects naturally with the rest of the yard. The homeowner even had a little helper checking out the finished grade.

This is the kind of work our light excavation service is built for. It doesn't always take a massive crew or a mountain of equipment. Sometimes it just takes the right operator, the right machine, and a solid plan for moving what's already there.

If part of your yard is sinking, washing out, or sitting low and soggy after every rain, it's worth a conversation. That space doesn't have to stay wasted.
